Manual QA Checklist
Compare before and after screenshots which are taken during the ManageWP Safe Update.
Check every page to ensure that nothing is broken, missing or moved
Ensure the backend of WordPress looks fine - CPTs are still in place, Pages, Categories, Posts, ACF fields.
Click all menu and footer links to ensure they are working and there are no 404 pages
Check search function is working correctly
Check all plugins are functioning as they should
Check that all forms are working, do a test of all forms, let the client know: β€œI have safely updated your website, as part of this I have tested the forms, can you please let me know if you received the form entries in your email address *insert the email address/s associated with the forms*
Do a Wordfence security scan to double check security, fix any issues that come up
Use the Link Checker in ManageWP to ensure all the links are working, if there are any broken links that are part of the client’s content, please notify the client: β€œDuring our maintenance and security updates we found the following broken links, we recommend you replace these with an updated source that is currently live”

Generate Report

Creates a self-contained HTML file with before/after screenshots, HTTP health, diff results, and checklist. Ready to email to the client.
